Redback Networks announces 68 joint carrier wins in 45 countries with Ericsson

San Jose, CA – March 20, 2008 – Redback Networks Inc., an Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) company that makes IP-based broadband routers for 75 percent of the world’s largest triple-play networks, today announced 68 joint carrier wins in 45 countries with Ericsson in 2007.

Redback and Ericsson won joint deals with fixed and mobile carriers in North & South America, Europe, Middle East, Africa and greater Asia.  Two of the joint deals are with top 20 fixed operators; three other wins are with top 10 mobile operators. Several of the joints wins are in fast-growing emerging markets.

The 68 joint wins were in the following countries:

Americas
Brazil, Colombia, El Salvador, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Suriname and the United States.

EMEA
Armenia, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Lebanon, Macedonia, Morocco, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom.

APAC
China (including Hong Kong), Vietnam, India, Kazakhstan, New Zealand, the Philippines and Singapore.
