Neuf Telecom Expands Broadband Network With Next-Generation Redback Platform Fast Growing French CLEC Builds Smart Broadband Network to Meet Growing Demand With Scalability and Subscriber Services
SAN JOSE, Calif., September 7, 2004 – Redback Networks Inc. (NASDAQ: RBAK), a leading provider of next-generation broadband networking systems, today announced that the Neuf Telecom Group (formerly LDCOM), one of the largest carriers in France, has selected and deployed the next-generation SmartEdge® platform from Redback for the expansion of its broadband network associated with strong growth in new subscribers. Neuf Telecom has been adding about 150,000 new subscribers each quarter. The shift to the SmartEdge platform represents an evolution from its existing Redback SMS™ 10000SL broadband subscriber management systems.
