Georges Antoun
Chief Executive Officer

Georges Antoun is CEO of Redback and Head of the Packet Networks Product Area (PA) for Ericsson. Before joining Redback, Georges spent five years at Cisco Systems where he served as vice president of worldwide systems engineering and field marketing, vice president of worldwide optical operations, and more recently as vice president of carrier sales. Georges was instrumental in the successful strategy behind Cisco's entry into the service provider and optical markets. He acted as the main liaison between the customer, sales and engineering to prioritize products and features. He has also held senior management positions at Newbridge Networks and Nynex (now Verizon Communications), where he was part of their Science and Technology Division. Georges Antoun holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and a Masters degree in Information Systems Engineering from New York Polytechnic University.

Ebrahim Abbasi
Senior Vice President of Operations, Information Technology and Customer Service

Ebrahim Abbasi is the Senior Vice President of Operations, Information Technology and Customer Service at Redback. Prior to joining Redback, Ebrahim was vice president of operations at Zhone Technologies. Ebrahim also spent three years at Ascend Communications as vice president of west coast operations. Under his leadership, Ascend's Manufacturing won the 1998 Manufacturing Excellence Award by Modern Material Handling for productivity and efficiency. After the acquisition of Ascend by Lucent Technologies, Ebrahim served as vice president of manufacturing operations for Lucent's Access Products, an over $2 billion dollar operation, with manufacturing locations in California, Texas, Ireland, France, and Malaysia. Earlier in his career he managed operations at Glenayre Technologies and Schlumberger Industries. Ebrahim Abbasi holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.

Simon Williams
Senior Vice President Products, Marketing and Strategy

Simon Williams is Senior Vice President of Products, Marketing and Strategy at Redback Networks, an Ericsson company. Previously, Simon was the Vice President of Sales and Operations covering Asia Pacific, based in Hong Kong. In this role, Simon was instrumental in growing Redback’s presence and revenue in the APAC region. Simon joined Redback in 1999 as part of the acquisition of Siara Systems as Director of Product Management. Before joining Siara Systems, Simon worked in various Marketing and Sales roles for Nortel Networks with responsibility for Nortel’s Optical and Data products and solutions. Prior to this, Simon held Development and Systems Engineering positions at Bell Northern Research in Ottawa, Canada. Simon holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario Canada.

Magnus Almquist
Senior Vice President World Wide Sales Operations

Magnus Almquist is Senior Vice President World Wide Sales Operations for Redback Networks, an Ericsson company, since April 2008. Prior to this, he was the Vice President of Sales Operations in EMEA since 2005 and before that he was the Sales Director for EMEA South for Redback Networks. Before joining Redback, Magnus held several sales leadership positions at leading telecommunication companies such Ascend Communications, Cascade Communications and General Datacomm, giving him more than 20 years of experience in the Telecom and Data communications market.
Magnus has a very international background; he lived in Latin America, Sweden, Spain, Switzerland, the UK and France before moving to Silicon Valley. He is from Sweden and speaks fluent Spanish, English, French and Swedish. Magnus holds a Master of Science degree in Industrial and Management Engineering from the University of Linkoping - Institute of Technology in Sweden.

William J. Sherry
Senior Vice President of Finance & Administration and Chief Financial Officer

Bill Sherry is the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Redback Networks, an Ericsson Company. Bill joined Redback on January 2006 as Vice President of Corporate Finance and was appointed Chief Financial Office in March 2007. Prior to joining Redback, Bill spent more than six years at Cisco Systems, where he served as Senior Finance Director for Worldwide Customer Engineering and as Finance Director for Service Provider Sales. At Cisco, Bill was responsible for building the finance and business support organization within two of the fastest growing business segments. He also held a number of senior finance positions at Wang Laboratories including Vice President of Finance for North America operations
Bill Sherry holds a Bachelor of Administration in Economics from Fairfield University.

Rod Couvrey
Senior Vice President of Engineering

Rod Couvrey is Senior Vice President of Engineering at Redback Networks, an Ericsson company. Previously, Rod was Vice President of SmartEdge Software in San Jose, California where he successfully grew the multi service edge software team to include wireless, security, and voice applications and helped manage the product line evolution from SmartEdge 800, 400, 100, to 1200. Rod joined Redback Networks through the Siara Systems acquisition in 2000. Prior to joining Siara Systems, Rod held leadership positions at Cisco Systems for five years, contributing to the development of the 7200, 7500, and GSR 12000 product lines. Prior to Cisco, Rod held various development roles at Amdahl Corporation in Sunnyvale, California.
Rod holds a B.S in Electrical Engineering Technology from New Mexico State University.

Bert Nordberg

Bert Nordberg is Chairman of Redback Networks, prior to assuming this position, Bert Nordberg was head of Business Unit Systems and held other various positions within Ericsson. From 2008 Bert Nordberg is appointed chairman of Redback and Entrisphere. Bert Nordberg was Executive Vice President, Group Function Sales and Marketing of Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson. Mr. Nordberg became Senior Vice President, Group Function Sales and Marketing, January 1, 2004. From May 1, 2002 to December 31, 2003, Mr. Nordberg was Head of Business Unit Systems and from 2001 to 2002 Mr. Nordberg was Head of Business Unit Global Services. In July 2000 Mr. Nordberg was appointed Executive Vice President Division Global Services. From 1999 to 2000 Mr. Nordberg was Executive Vice President of Ericsson Services, including all Services for the Operator Segment. Mr. Nordberg joined Ericsson in 1996 as Head of Enterprise Services, which provides all services for Enterprise Segments within Ericsson. His experience during the period 1985 to 1996 included various positions with Data General Corporation and Digital Equipment Corporation in Sweden. Bert holds a Bachelor in Electronic Engineering, Malmö, Engineer in the Marines, Berga, university courses in International Management, Marketing and Finance, Insead University, France.

Kevin DeNuccio

Kevin DeNuccio, is Vice Chairman at Redback, was formerly the President and CEO of Redback Networks for 8 years. Prior to leading Redback Networks, he was the senior vice president of worldwide service provider operations at Cisco Systems. In this role, he was responsible for all field activities in the service provider marketplace, representing more than $4 billion in revenue and over 4,000 employees globally. During his tenure at Cisco, Kevin also managed worldwide field operations, including all sales and engineering support organizations.
Prior to joining Cisco Systems, Kevin was the founder, president and chief executive officer of Bell Atlantic Network Integration, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Bell Atlantic (now Verizon Communications), with responsibility for corporate strategy and operations. He has also held senior management positions at both Unisys Corporation and Wang Laboratories as vice president in their network integration and worldwide channel partner businesses.
Kevin DeNuccio received his finance degree from Northeastern University and is a graduate of the Executive MBA program at Columbia University.
